THE ASSAM COURT OF WARDS (DELEGA­

TION OF POWERS) ACT, 1943

An Acl lo amend the Bengal Court of Wards Act, 1879, in 
its application to Assam. 

W11EREAS it is expedient to amend the Bengal Court of Bengal Act 
Wards Act, 1879, in its application to Assarn in the manner IX of 1879. 
hereinafter appearing ; 

It is hereby enacted as follows:-
1. (1) This Act may be called the Assam Court of Wards 

(Dclcgauon of Powers) Act, 1943. 
(2) It extends to the whole of Assam. 
(3) It shall come into force on such date as the Provin· 

cial Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, 
appoint in this behalf. 

2. Notwithstanding anything in the Bengal Court of 
Wards Act, 1879, all or any of the powers it confers on a 
Collector may, subject to the previous approval of the Bengal Act 
Court of Wards, be delegated by him to an officer appointed IX of 1879. 
to assist him in the management of Court of Wards Estates.
