Section 1 — Short title, extent and commencement.
The Maharashtra Merged Territories Miscellaneous Alienations Abolition Act.
(1) This Act may be called the 1[Maharashtra] Merged Territories Miscellaneous Alienations Abolition Act.
(2) It extends to the merged territories in the 2[pre-Reorganisation State of Bombay, excluding the transferred territories.]
(3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint in this behalf.
