Section 4 — Offences under this Act to be cognizable.

STATUTORY TEXT

Find in this text

(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in ¹[the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (2 of 1974)], any offence under this Act shall be deemed to be cognizable offence within the meaning of that Code.

(2) No Court below a ²[Judicial Magistrate] of the first class shall try any offence under this Act.
