further to amend the Manipur Ancient and Historical Monumems and ArchaeologicalSites and Remains Act, 1976 (Mam'pur Act No. 15 of 1977).
BE it enacted by the Legislature of Manipur in the Forty-Seventh Yearof the Republic of India asfollowsz—

1. Short title, extent and commenCement.—(l) This Act may be calledthe Manipur Ancient and Historical Monuments and Archaeological Sites andRemains (Qecond Amendment) Act, 1996.

(2) It extends to the whole of the State of Manipur.
(3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may.by notification in the official Gazette, appoint.
2. Amendment of section 2.~—In clause (a) of section 2 of the ManipurAncient and Historical Monuments and Archaeological Sites and, Remains Act,1976, for the words “One hundred years”, the words “seventy five years” shall.be snbstitutcd.
