:0 amend the Manipur Municipalities Act, 1994 (No. 43 bf 1994‘)

’ “BE it cfiacted by the LegiSlature of Mampur 111 the Forty Seventh Year of
the Republic of India as folloWs :

, 1. Short title and commencement—(1) This Act may be calledthe Manipur
Municipalities (Amendment) Act 1996. -

» (2) Section 4 shall be degmcd to havecome info fence on the twenty.

into force en the date of its publication in 1he Official Gazette.§

2 Amendment of Section 10.-—In Sub—scction (4) of Section 10 of the
Manipur Municipalities Act, 1994 (hereinafter referred to as the Act),
between the words “meeting” and “elect”, the words “but within th1rty
days from the date 01’ the first meeting referred to in sub--section (1)” shall be
inserted.

3. Amendment of Section 11.—In Section 11 of the Act,—

(a) In sub-sectiofi (1), for the words ‘Executive Oflicer”, the words
