The Nagaland Speaker Salaries & Allowances (Amendment) Act, 1999. 

(Act. No. 10 of 1999) 

Received the assent of the Government of Nagaland on 17/07/1999 and 
published in the Nagaland Gazette Extraordinary dated :22nd of September, 1999. 

Where it is expedient to amend the Nagaland Speaker's salaries and 
allowances act, 1964 (Nagaland act No. 5 of 1964) in the manner here under a pp 
earing : 

It is hereby enacted in the Fiftieth year ofthe Republic ofIndia as follows 

I. SHORT TITLE AND COMMENCEMENT. 

(i) This act may called the NAGALAND SPEAKER'S SALARIES AND 
ALLOWANCES (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1999 

(ii) It shall come into force on such date as the state Government may by 
notification in official gazette appoint. 

2. AMENDMENT OF SECTION 2 

Section 2 of the Nagaland Speaker's salaries and allowances act 1964 
(Nagaland Act No. 4 of 1964)' shall be substituted by the following as 
hereunder : 

There shall be paid to the Speaker fo the Nagaland Legislative Assembly a 
salary of rupees Nine thousand per Mensen. 

3. AMENDMENT OF SECTION 4 

Sub-section (2) of section 4 of the Priilcipal Act shall be deleted. 

4. AMENDMENT OF SECTION 9 

Section 9 of the Principal Act shall be substituted by the following as 
hereunder : 

The Speaker shall be entitled to an entertainment allowance of rupees two 
thousand five hundred per mensem.
