to amend the West Bengal Security (Tripura Re-enacting) Act,1967.

BE it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Tripura in
the Twenty-second Year of the Republic of India as follows :-

1. (1) This Act may be called the West Bengal Security
(Tripura Re-enacting) Amendment Act, 1971.

(2) It shall come into force at once.

2. In section 2 of the West Bengal Security (Tripura
Re-enacting) Act, 1967, for sub-section (4) of sectoin 1 of the
West Bengal Security Act, 1950, as re-enacted by the first-
mentioned Act, the following sub-section shall be substituted,
namely:-

"(4) It shall remain in force until the 25th day of
January, 1976."

3. (1) The West Bengal Security (Tripura Re-enacting)
Amendment Ordinance, 1971 (No. 2 of 1971), is hereby
repealed.

(2) Notwithstanding the repeal of the said Ordinance
anything done or any action taken or any proceedings started
or any appeal preferred or any legal effect produced by or
under the provisions of the West Bengal Security Act, 1950,
as continued by the said Ordinance shall be deemed to have
been done, taken, started, preferred or produced by or under
the said Act as continued by this Act as if this Act had
